Kory Kilpatrick Wins Event #20: $3,000 No-Limit Hold'em Shootout
At the beginning of the final day on Tuesday, 10 players had a decent chance of taking down Event #20: $3,000 No-Limit Hold'em Shootout. Three players, Taylor Pair, Chris Bell and Phill Galfond, were looking to win their second bracelet, but at the end of it all it was Kory Kilpatrick from Georgia who had all the chips. In total, Kilpatrick bested a field of 389 players over three days of play to capture his first gold bracelet and $254,891 in prize money!

Dominik Nitsche Wins Event #21: $1,000 No-Limit Hold'em
On May 22, Dominik Nitsche took down this year's National Champion in Atlantic City for $352,800. Today, less than a month after winning his second bracelet, he scored a third one!
The German poker pro bested a field of 2,043 players over three days of play in Event #21: $1,000 No-Limit Hold'em to win his third bracelet, plus $335,659 in prize money! He now has well over $2 million in WSOP career earnings (19 cashes) and is the youngest 3-time bracelet winner in WSOP history!
"I have been playing poker for seven years," Nitsche told WSOP. "At this rate, I really think I can catch Hellmuth (who has 13 wins, to date). Of course, he and Phil Ivey are great players so to be talked in the same breath as them is really something for me. I will just say I am really proud to come to Las Vegas where I have enjoyed a lot of success over the years."

Chris Wallace Wins Event #22: $10,000 H.O.R.S.E.
Not less than 200 players entered the fifth $10,000 buy-in event at the 2014 WSOP, and just as many expected several big names made it on to the final table (see results bellow).
The fact is that some of the eight finalists had already won a combined 6 gold bracelet and several million dollars in earnings. Well, funnily enough, the only player with no final table experience in the past ended up winning the tournament, Chris Wallace. Wallace defeated Randy Ohel in a short heads up match to earn his first bracelet on his first ever final table in a major tournament. Besides that, he received $507,614 in prize money!

Doug Polk Wins Event #23: $1,000 Turbo No-Limit Hold'em
Doug Polk, better known as "WCGRider" in the online high stakes poker world,
defeated a field of 1,472 runners to claim his first WSOP bracelet in Event #23: $1,000 Turbo No-Limit Hold'em. Polk had 4 cashes to his name prior to this event, but, as many of you already know, he has won millions of dollars online! He now has well over a million dollars in live tournament earnings, with his biggest score being the fourth-place finish this year in the Aussie Millions Main Event for $770,237!
